Lifting Equipment Inspector

North West, based in Leyland/Preston

Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

Start Date: Immediate start available

Rate of Pay: Negotiable, dependent upon experience

Job Description:

Lifting Gear UK are looking for an enthusiastic individual to carry out inspection of Lifting Equipment on customer sitesDuties include:

  • Carry out LOLER inspection on various types of Lifting Equipment
  • Service, Repair & Inspect Lifting Equipment on customer sites & the companies workshop
  • Complete necessary paperwork in line with the companies set procedures
  • Adhering to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/Powered Hoists, Lifting Beams, Runway Beams plus various other forms for Lifting & Handling Equipment
  • A minimum of two LEEA Lifting Equipment Theory Certificates or diplomas preferred
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment
  • A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering required
  • Good understanding of method statement and risk assessments

  • Attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork

Workshop Engineer

Acton, W3 7XS

Hours: Monday – Friday | 7:30am – 5:30pm

Start Date: Immediate start available

Job Description:

Lifting Gear UK are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a flexible attitude.

  • Carrying out Inspection, Service, Repair and Testing of Lifting Equipment in accordance with LOLER regulations
  • Repair of various Lifting Equipment will include but not limited to Chain Slings, Electrical Chain hoists, Pull lifts, Genies, Tirfors, Hydraulic Jacking Equipment
  • Ensure that repair orders are processed according to the established guidelines and that work is completed to schedule.
  • To maintain high standards of housekeeping within the workshop and maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience is essential
  • Evidence of technical training relevant to position
  • Ability to work under pressure, set deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Organisation
  • Interest in the products
  • LEEA qualifications preferred but not essential
